One-day course to be held at the CPhl Exhibition in Brussels on 8 December 2004 - Analytical method validation for the pharmaceutical industry

Analytical method validation’ is the next in LGC Promochem’s successful European series of USP pharmacopeial education courses. The one-day course will be held at the CPhl Exhibition in Brussels on 8 December 2004. Delegates will gain an overview of the validation requirements of USP-NF General Chapter 1225 and ICH Q2A/Q2B, together with recommendations on performing validation studies from the International Conference on Harmonisation, the Food and Drug Administration and United States Pharmacopeia (USP), as well as the associated documentation requirements for validation protocols.

As in other USP pharmacopeial education courses run by LGC Promochem, ?Analytical method validation’ will be taught by USP scientific staff, who will bring the collective expertise and authority behind USP-NF, the trusted standards resource since 1820. The course will cover in detail the USP performance characteristics such as accuracy and precision, specificity, detection and quantitation limits, range and linearity and the interpretation of ruggedness and robustness. As well as the interactive sessions, delegates will be provided with comprehensive course materials for future reference, and there will be ample opportunity for networking with industry colleagues.

The USP pharmacopeial education courses are just part of a range of services for the pharmaceutical industry available from LGC Promochem, Europe’s leading supplier of certified reference materials. LGC Promochem also offers a comprehensive range of impurity reference substances, original ATCC strains as recommended in the pharmacopoeia, high purity solvents with tested suitability for pharmaceutical applications, pharmacopoeial publications and subscription service and physical standards for instrument and apparatus calibrations.

The ‘Analytical method validation’ course costs E595 per person and discounts are available to delegates who register before 31 October 2004, or who register with a colleague.
